OK Samuel, I found your post from December 17, where you listed this command
options speakup_dectlk dev=ttyUSB0
Right now we have the DecTalk connect in USB as well as usual rs232. In the 20
or 21years I've had this USB, I was only able to enjoy that setting in windows.
I would love to experience it with Speakup. Yesterday while booting, I once
again heard the DecTalk start at normal volume for a quick second before it
dropped in the lo 70s. That still implies Speakup settings dropped the volume,
rate, and pitch. I notice in the dectlk.c there is this line
static int g5_defaults[] = {86, 81, 86, 84, 81, 80, 83, 83, 73};
My guess is that 73 could be ajusted to 86 for normal volume. Thanks in advance
