So your dev=ttyUSB0 parameter didn't get understood, you need to fix that. For a start you could tell us *exactly* how you entered it. > but your dmesg just sends back to a prompt. So it's not showing up as a serial port. You can send us the output of lsusb both with and without your device plugged, so we know how the device appears as usb. Samuel
