It is the first time for me to hear a name of MathJax but it seems MathSciNet uses MathJax. Great! Well, it is intentional that we don't use defoma. IIRC, Debian decided not to use defoma in squeeze. How can I test MathJax? At the top page of http://www.mathjax.org/ I see formulae with headers "LaTeX:" and "MathML:" and they seem to be correct images(?). They are followed with a phrase "(Math rendered by MathJax)". If the above is not an appropriate page to test MathJax, and if you know any site where I can check MathJax, please let me know. Thanks for your interest in STIX fonts.
