I would think that your newsletters would have a better chance of getting delivered.
I know we give a favorable weight to the HABEAS headers. I can't in good conscience whitelist anything. ;) I can't speak for the rest of the admins here, but the impression I've gotten from being on the list that the headers are a good thing and we are trying to encourage their use... Whitelisting Habeas works from a programmatic viewpoint - I use it here. But I've never noticed any mail bearing Habeas Headers, so I'm wondering if it works from a marketing standpoint. That is, if I pay money to Habeas, do my opt-in newsletters stand a better chance of getting delivered? Or are mail admins not adopting it, which would make paying for the right to include Habeas Headers in our e-mail a stupid investment. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of R. I'm not using it, but have seen a handful of E-mails using it (typically from the "computer geek" types, not the average end user). >I'm considering subscribing for our outgoing e-mail newsletter, but >before >I do, want to know if it works. I haven't heard of a single case for it not working. However, some people don't use it because they don't want to get *any* commercial E-mail. If you're the type that gives out your E-mail address freely without checking the "Don't send me mail" box, you won't like the WHITELIST HABEAS option (since the E-mail *is* solicited, and the Habeas people will allow them to pay to use the headers). -Scott --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus] --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
