Yes.
Are you saying that the routing test uses a different lookup than the COUNTRIES variables?
Yes.
If so, would it make sense to upgrade the routing test so it uses the same information as COUNTRIES?
No.
There are several reasons for the "no" on this one. First, I would guess that only about 10% of our customers are using the geolocation (because of the extra work involved in setting it up). Second, legitimate E-mails are more likely to pass through another country between the source and the destination. Finally, the days of spammers using U.S. dialup accounts to send spam through overseas open relays are just about gone.
The ROUTING test was very useful several years ago, but as spammers have gotten smarter (or more inclined to break laws/morals), it is becoming more and more obsolete.
