Quite simple, actually. This from one of the legitimate list messages from yesterday: BONDEDSENDER:-5 FIVETEN-SPAM:2 INTERSIL:3 INTRUDERS:2 SPAMHAUS:4 SPEWS:3 WEB-O-TRUST:-3 MAILPOLICE-BULK:3 SECURITYSAGE:3 nNOLEGITCONTENT:-5 SNIFFER-WHITERULE:-2 SPAMCHECK:-2 REDUCTION-FILTER:-5 MAILFROM-FILTER:5 . Total weight = 3. I checked my log from yesterday again, and did not find a single message from topica.com that was spam - they were all legitimate list messages. This is not to say that we do not receive spam from topica address space, but if we do, they are not getting delivered. Again, the benefit and having and using a spam weighting system is that you can both deliver legitimate messages and block spam from the same source.
