Well, as I have written already, I would like to have a service on the laptop
that is working on one of those nets, so that, say, when I plug it in at
home, I have the service accepting connections from other home boxes, and
when at work - not. Without the need of manually
starting/restarting/reconfiguring it.

Besides, the actual question was: is the feature I gave as an exaple really
not available on Windows, while being available on Linux - and it seems it
is. Obviously, I can do a workaround this way or another, but that's not the
point here, is it? :)

I didn't say I am a godless communist - I said that from what I have said
previously one might think I am an atheist. That's a *huge* difference, mind
you.
And no, I don't suppose I am a "tough-it-out-for-God-and-country kind of stiff
upper lip Brit", simply because it's illegal to have a double citizenship in
Poland, you know. Whatismore, I rather perceive myself as a patriot; and not
only I, as this would not be athoritative (nemo est jus et causa sua), but
most of my collegues do too.

Cheers
Mike
