Interesting, my flatmate can do this to - he uses it for about 2 mins
and it dies in a big, stinkey heap.
OTOH, my OTHER flatmate, on the same machine, can use it without
rebooting etc for 3-5 days with no problems at all.

Have you deleted ALL extranious files? this includes pretty much
everything aside from the DCR, PAS and DFM files. Something like that.

For me, and I'm on my 5th or so app in D5 (all were written in Delphi 4,
and I reworked them in D5), and I have had NO AV's, no internal compiler
errors (tho I _know_ how to produce them) etc, except for one D4
component that went totally AWOL (internal compiler errors). I got the
internal error, shutdown, rebooted, recompiled and it worked fine.

Not even close....

See above recommendation. Delete everything that is not essential.
Better yet, start with a new package. If you EVER get an internal
compiler error, reboot. Period.

Nope, the package is still loaded. Try a reboot. Shutting delphi down
generally doesn't make a difference.
