RTFM. You have to backup and then restore to get it into the new GDB
version.

Technically, you have to do this between ANY version of IB (4.2, 5.0, 5.1.1,
5.5, 5.6, 6.0), but it sometimes works - IB states it does NOT work from 5.6
to 6.0 tho!
