$6670 + GST = +/-$7500
Which is closer to $8K for a new entrant to the Delphi market.
Delphi is productive, but you have to use it before you realize just how
productive it is. That good old chicken and egg scenario again!
Further that $8k is the upfront 'reach into your pocket and smack your money
on the table' cost, whereas the saved labour cost is ?
I will play devils advocate and argue that any saved labour with Delphi gets
translated into research labour in trying to figure out odd
incompatibilities and quirks. Problems that Visual Studio developers are
less likely to have given their larger mass and Microsoft's deeper knowledge
of Windows...
