well in the time I have been using XP, oh, I guess nearly 12mths I think now, I have had ONE bluse screen, and that was because I loaded a win2k driver into XP, and it didnt like it. That includes work as well as at home where I quite normally have anything upto 10 apps and more running at a time. The search thing, yeah thats a COMPLETE arse ! but there has been threads about this before on thelist and there is a samml vbs script that will let you specify the type of files you want to be able to search in. Since I have run it, and added the extensions I want to search, its been fine. IT was a HUGE cockup by M$ that was !
