wow these messages took nearly a whole day to get to me!

I still dont see my last post, or any answers to it so i will repost:

lost post #1.
Something must be up with the server today again, i havent even received my
question and half of the answers. lucky the original text is left in the
message.

Is it going to be possible to convert a CGI app to .NET?
My boss also doesnt think it necessary to upgrade to 7 for development (also
not an IT man), and up until now i thought i agreed with him.
We intend to switch to .Net, but my concern at the moment is that i will
have to run two versions of Delphi. Fingers crossed i wont.

lost post#2

Me? I didn't go for the software assurance, I am keen on just getting
Delphi.Net and leaving it at that :)

which is why i got the software assurance. Basically it meant i get D8(or
whatever i end up with) for cheaper than i would have done if I bought it on
release.

I don't understand why everyone is complaining so bitterly.

Why do you need another version of the Win32 compiler hmm?

I mean Delphi 6 works reasonably well. As evidenced by the fact that
most people didn't voluntarily upgrade to Delphi 7. Why would you? It
looks like a case of upgrade addiction to me.

I will still use Delphi 6, which works perfectly well for my Win32
needs. I will then use Delphi.Net for my .Net needs. Who really cares
about Delphi 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13. Bah humbug :)
