It could do with serious optimising and it needs to look forward to
64bit for future performance. If that path is being followed, then its time
to start the long goodbye.

So didn't bang into the floating point exception hassles or did you jump to
one of the fast math library replacements long ago? Math in D7 is
definitely better (just not quite good enough for me to actually use it).
