I suggested calling it Chandler. Can anyone else use these URLs? My understanding was that Sunbird and iCal would use the DAV URLs?

Priss, any thoughts?

Ted, why do you need to go to the Account Browser to get the bookmarkable URL? Don't you have it by virtue of receiving the URL from the sharer in the first place? Or are you talking about using Chandler Hub as a standalone user and wanting to hand out bookmarkable URLs so others can view your calendar in in the Chandler Hub UI?

What does the 'Show URL' button do in the Collection details dialog?

Hi Mimi

Thanks for the feedback on this, really interesting stuff.

+ Can we rename the links to the tickets? [Chandler] [DAV] [ Feeds] ?

Interestingly, I already have a bug to change this link. Unfortunately, it's asking for yet another name:

https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8060

Any thoughts? The "Magic URL" is, by definition, overloaded, so it makes sense that we're having trouble giving it a name. I think the best thing to do would be to name the link in accordance with our expectations for the "primary user" of the account browser and to give it a "tooltip" that describes all the various functions it serves.

1. The bug asks for reasonable labels given that the account browser is the only way to get a bookmarkable url. Even when Chandler can supply bookmarkable urls, people who only use the Cosmo UI will need a way to generate a bookmarkable url to hand around 2. The term "Magic URL" should be expunged from everyone's vocabulary and replaced with "bookmarkable url" 3. I see no reason that the links couldn't be [Chandler] [Bookmarkable URL][DAV][Feeds] - I don't think the duplication is that bad, and hiding alternate usages in a tooltip is just going to result in support queries. Alternately, I'd be satisifed with a bookmarkable URL option in the collection details dialog.

Bookmarkable URL's are *really* handy. I don't even bother to go to the main osaf.us page anymore, I just jump to r/w bookmarkable url for my work calendar.

So the questions are:

1) Who is the primary user of the account browser? and based on that: What should the link text be?
2) What all should go in the tooltip?

Thanks!
