Hey Fredy,

I think it does require userdata.img (or there's a problem with boot.img or 
something), since I never get past the white HTC screen. Since I never get past 
that HTC Boot screen, adb isn't running yet so I can't check the logs/dmesg. 

Any other suggestions? Any way to see if the problem is actually boot.img, 
rather than the userdata?
