The problem I see is that although a lot of work has been done around DNT and its recognition is high, unfortunately it's not yet enforced in the Web as demonstrated by many researchers as in [1]. Hence, if it's kept as something visible to the users, it should be clear to them that there is no guarantee this is going to be honoured.
With tracking protection, Firefox does not rely on anyone honouring the requests, as the traffic is cut directly by the browser, so I think the value to the users could be stated more clearly.
