I've noticed the scroll-bar thing as well. I tried to figure out what the issue was, but it took longer than 5 minutes at the time so I moved on to something else.
I've also noticed the menus closing if I didn't move the mouse quickly enough. I got around it by clicking the parent menu item which forces the menu to stay open no matter where the mouse goes. I'd be in favor of renaming "projects" to "components." However, for clarity's sake you probably want to change the sub-directory's name as well. I'm also in favor of removing the redundant names from the menus. I briefly looked at how to do it, but it wasn't immediately clear.
