IMHO it should be where Phoenix is. It is an application, ok, but that is more out of technical necessity than anything else. Sevak is the most important feature of Phoenix after JMX. I don't know how anyone could think that a connection of the "server application world" to the "web application world" would be an "add-on" of some sort. It is a vital feature of any application server, that there is a connection to the servlet/webapp world. As long as we haven't come up with a more generic mechanism, we should be glad that Paul wrote this thing and that we can tell our bosses: "Yeah, Avalon is web-enabled, we can use it."
