Agreed. I didn't know that Merlin could also use it.
Sure - there are are references to BlockContext which means you either:
1. add a custom contextualization stage handler
2. or drop BlockContext and just use the context keys and it
will run just like other component like James, Cornerstone,
etc.
The Meta package (used by Merlin) includes support for the Phoenix style <blockinfo> format. This means that running a vernila Phoniex block is zero hastle. However the following caviats apply: firstly, JMX support is not in place yet; and secondly, block listener semantics are not supported.
