Well... Showing off the star part(s) was well and good in the early days when IOC was young and everyone was trying to figure out what good parts look like, and if you could even build different cars off the same chassis. But here is the broader issue, and the one that for the life of me I can't understand why more people aren't more excited about, and that is this: If I build a AM/FM radio (component), I want to be able to put that radio in the town car, the sports car, and the luxury car. Today, I can't do that. I've got to build custom radios for every car model, and I'm stinking tired of that because it doesn't cut it in the business world, and it basically anathema to sound development practices of reusability. So... The Avalon avante-garde proposes an Avalon world where component re-use across containers is a reality, and we believe, nay are confident, that Avalon users will LOVE this reality way more than the days of Avalon past in which everyone just sits around enjoying how pretty and ingenious the parts are. Avalon avant-garde is about providing a fertile ground where Avalon help developers be efficient and productive in solving their real-world problems. And component reusablility across container platforms is a CRITICAL piece to that reality. And in that reality, the parts aren't the centerpiece anymore. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
