I acknowledge that you are trying to be respectful, but some of the basic facts: 1) Outreachy is an existing program that is well documented and aligned with the mission of this committee. If you have questions on that, the best place to start is with that documentation. If, after reading that documentation, you have specific questions, by all means bring them here. 2) There is a targeted donation in progress which could conceivably be used to fund this pilot. In its entirety. The committee has sought guidance from the board on whether or not that would be appropriate. We are awaiting a response. 3) Whether or not the development of a whimsy tool is an appropriate choice for an intern is a separate thread. If you have questions along these lines, I encourage you to participate in that thread. The quick summary: the ASF paid for the development of a "self serve tool" by infrastructure contractors. Individuals at the ASF have expressed a need for a tool to help with the development and approval of incubator reports. Perhaps with the help of the targeted donation and the Outreachy program we can satisfy this need. - Sam Ruby
