Well, OOo 1.1.4 cannot be installed on a freshly installed Windows95 It
relies on some updates to be present.
Given that Microsoft no longer supports Windows95 it may be difficult to
get these access (or one has to fetch them from a third party).

This was recent news as of today :-)

The developer snapshots for the mac are not widely available...

Yes. True.
Communication is/was not the best regarding the Mac-port. :-(

You will always have outdated FAQs. I strongly suggest adding a
timestamp to the question/answer and expire them after 3 months (or even
earlier).

It is not your fault. The communication within OOo unfortunately is not
