less information than the support page.

True, and less information is exactly what I intended to accomplish...
overwhelming users with an infinite number of options to find help makes
figuring out where actually to find help incredibly difficult.

True.

Well, I don't know of a good hub yet that has the right balance between
simplicity and still listing the most important sources of information. If
you have one ready of course, I'm happy to point to that page... it is not
that I love replicating work done already :)

Thanks, first change by someone else than me!... btw smart to include 'F1'
;)... almost too obvious! And all other links were welcome additions as
well... although we should be careful with not recreating the old support
page again with too many links...

No page created yet... but merely a demonstration of reusing the same
element on different pages (it was designed originally as an element that
could be used on the front page... I think we can make it into a recurring
element that promotes/highlights certain areas.

If you have a suggestion for such a page... just write it up in the wiki
or somewhere else, and we can link to it.

Btw... in the end I hope this effort can replace support.openoffice.org
... (altough maybe keeping the current page as a overview page)... we have
to be careful not duplicating efforts everywhere...

Maarten
