I remember that at the beginning of the year we discussed that Drill on Yarn, transition to JDK 8 should be in 1.13 release. Before doing the release we need to make sure all these are done and merged. Drill on Yarn PR is reviewed but requires some fixes. Not sure about JDK 8.
