I think that would also work fine. I just tried to be consistent with (read:
shamelessly copy-pasted) the builder pattern that was already being used
elsewhere in Flume (see EventSerializerFactory).
Also I tend to prefer passing configuration to an object at construction time
and making the object immutable, rather than creating the object and then
configuring it. But that's just a matter of taste. I'm not sure whether Flume
has a policy on such matters.
