Could you explain what the problem is re the geronimo and the mail/activation jars with Cocoon? I didn't find an open issue in the bug database. I agree that it would be much more preferable to copy the jars to a lib/local directory in Lenya. Still, it should be avoided to touch the external Cocoon sources.
