I agree that it would be much more preferable to copy the jars to
a lib/local directory in Lenya.

Still, it should be avoided to touch the
external Cocoon sources.
AFAIK, we are not touching them. We are just copying them. I see this as
"reusing". Would you explain more why do you think it is bad?
