I think we should try to avoid breaking backwards compatibility or if we really have to, a migration path should be described. What should we propose to people still using 1.2. Upgrading to 2.0 or wait for 2.1? If 2.1 is not backward compatible with 2.0 we will have three version which are not compatible which makes upgrading a real pain :-( Jann
