I'm just coding the password side of a site now. I'm using hash with SHA-384
making the password unrecoverable for security reasons. New passwords issued
are randomly generated. SHA-256 and above is very strong and uncracked (so
far).

To avoid problems with storing encypted data because of quotes and other
risky characters I sometimes use ToBase64(myEncryptedString) which always
gives you alphanumeric characters. Use ToString() to convert back.

Gary.
