I'm seriously considering moving from DWMX to Eclipse purely because of the CVS integration (imho MM missed a trick here... although they were pushing Contribute or whatever it was that was CVS-like).
It is actually possible to use CVS from CFStudio (and presumably DWMX). CFStudio etc. use the MS source code control interface to talk to source safe. There is a plugin for TortoiseCVS which implements this interface. Obviously, this isn't ideal, but it'll be necessary here because I've no doubt the grrraphics and front-end boyos will want to stick with dreamweaver.
Let me get this straight... there is a plugin for TortoiseCVS that implements a VSS *server* interface and pipes those commands to a CVS *server*. Doesn't sound right to me.
I think TortoiseCVS plugin implements the client interface for VSS, but not the server interface (I don't think).
anyone?
