I am quite happy to hear opinions on this - maybe it's too subtle, maybe

why.openoffice.org/index.html until the "final" content is ready.

Well, it's probably too late to do anything about the buttons that have
already been put up, but I think it would be good to have special pages for
special buttons. I mean, when the button says "Keep it Legal" - then it
should go to the legal campaign page. If it says "Keep the car" - the test
drive campaign, etc. It shouldn't be too difficult, just make the link in
the button code go to the related page.

On the basic "why" page - put whatever the latest campaign is - with links
to the older campaigns (pretty much what is there now). But I don't think
the why page should be static. It should probably always have the latest
campaign. Even after OOoCon 2006.

But even the current campaign should have it's own page - so like now, the
test drive campaign should have it's own page - or folder - and the keep the
car buttons should link there - not to why.openoffice.org, but to
why.openoffice.org/testdrive.html or why.openoffice.org/testdrive/ or
whatever. That way if someone were to build a specialized test drive OOo
page - and included the link from the website - it wouldn't change when the
next campaign comes along.

You could always have a php include that will house links to the current and
past campaigns - so that will automagically update whenever the next
campaign comes out - keeping the old pages/campaigns up to date with minimal
effort.
