what do you think about creating a special kind of merchandising articles to be sold at fairs, on the OOoCon or even online (coming back to the idea of an OOo shop)?

My idea derives from the possibility to design personalized stamps in several countries serving as official postage for letters.

I like the general idea of merchandise, but I'm not sure that personalised stamps are a good item to have. My reason is: I almost never snail-mail anything any more; if I don't do something in person, I do it online using various services (email, banking, purchasing items, etc). I send very few parcels or letters by mail. I know that a lot of other people do use the mail, but I wonder how many of them would also be interested in OOo merchandise. Ten years ago, or possibly even five years ago, I would have thought this was a good idea, but I'm not so sure now.

I have to agree with Jean. I do a bit of mailing providing CDs but not enough to justify that added expense.

If anyone in the USA is interested there is a service called stamps.com that maybe of help.
