The community should always be updating the status page: http://incubator.apache.org/projects/mnemonic.html however it's a good habit to get into to update the stats page as part of generating the periodic status report. For example the "news" section could call out the first (woot!) release. There are a number of other sections that should also be updated (e.g. "establish committer list", etc...). Is there anything on that page that is not yet completed?
