I am having issues on commit and post changes. Gary and Uma, would you
check the status page and add release notes and monthly status link?

Also, I'd prefer to see more details in description on each JIRA item so
developers can get some idea on how to get involved into this project.

I encourage moving off-line communication to dev mailing list as well.
