Werner, I'm for the idea in general, but I'm -1 on doing it before we make a 1.1.4 Tomahawk branch. We need to get a matching version of Tomahawk out since the RI-compatibility changes Martin made to the form clearing javascript will make using Tomahawk 1.1.3 and MyFaces 1.1.4 incompatible (as far as I understand them). Once we branch Tomahawk 1.1.4, then we can make major changes to the trunck. Or to restate it another way -- it's far more important to have something out there that works with what we've done so far than it is to introduce new features from the sandbox. Hi, as already announced I now would start to push Dojo into Tomahawk, probably around friday night. Following components and Dojo parts would be affected. The dojo Initializer The dojo core code and components The Dojo Utils The examples for the initializer and generally how to use Dojo (not the dojoized component examples) The documentation for the initializer- The documentation for the Initializer has been committed, typos and other stuff will be fixed the next days. As soon as this is done, we should start to reduce the sandbox (dojo was one of the main points why the sandbox has become as big as it is) As I also already announced is that the future timetable for dojo lib updates is, dojo releases a new stable version, a gracperiod of about one month before the next codeupdate, if no showstoppers arrive and if the schedule of the myfaces releases permit it. Also have in mind that the work on the dojo integration is not finished in the long run we will have to move dojo as codebase out of tomahawk into something else, but i first have to know what the Sun guys are up to, to avoid future conflicts in that area. But that does not affect us for now. It is more important to get the code down for now. All of this will not affect the componentcodebase from our side, just the utils classes, so I feel save to ask for the vote now. So please start on voting, have in mind this is a major update which will affect all of Tomahawk in the long run.
