I wonder, how do other projects handle this situation? I mean, every project must have its servers *somewhere*. So, by this logic, they would be bound by the laws of some country. Is that correct? How do other projects solve this problem? (/Do/ they have a solution?) > I knew that Sun is major player but I did not know Collab is US based > company [snip] > I thought OpenOffice.org is for everyone. I feel sorry that it is not. Again, every project must have servers somewhere. How do they solve this? I know that Debian has a 'non-US' repository. Could something like that be done for OOo? I don't know the details, but it looks like Debian found a way to put some things in US servers and other things in other servers. Does CVS have this functionality? Just trying to gather information and expore options.
