Hi again, It's been about a week since the last wave of input to the list. How about we actually start doing something ? (sorry for my fieriness, but I'm a bit disappointed to see that we're losing the momentum the group had created)
It seems that most of us agree that writing specs shall be the first step. How about discussing every wish that has been posted on the website, and compiling results in a functionnal specifications document. Based on this we could start writing some code for a pre-alpha version of OOPM. It seems that few people are able to code, so I could take the lead on this at the beginning. I think I could probably dig out my rusty C++, and make some use of OOo's API and stuff. I tend to believe that the first step is always the toughest one. Let's write limited specs for a first version of OOPM, and we'll improve it later, with the help of an initial bunch of users. Claus, you seem to have done a great job during the wishlist definition. I don't know how much time you can spend on this list, but I would suggest you took the lead on this. Hope this mail will trigger some interest...
