Eli Levine commented on PHOENIX-1198:
-------------------------------------
Proposal:
1. Reuse the same mechanism for passing in custom annotations as PHOENIX-1196.
These annotations would be added to all Phoenix log lines.
2. Split this Jira into two. One for client-side logging and one for
server-side. Client-side work is low-hanging fruit that I should be able to
finish quickly. Server-side logging needs design. One way is to augment all
coprosessor methods to accept optional custom annotations from the clien. Is
there a better way?
[~jamestaylor], any thoughts on this? Thanks.

> These tags can be passed in either when creating connections or calling
> upsert/select. Similar to PHOENIX-1196. Maybe they can shared the same
> mechanism for passing in values to be logged/traced.
