Hi all,

yesterday I had to jump quite a number of hoops in order to update the poms
because of the not really production ready support for Junit 5.
Also I recall that Dale had problems with Junit 5 tests in Eclipse.

My question now is, do we really need Junit 5?

Initially I started creating PLC4X using TestNG as this brought all the
features I needed and switched to Junit 5 because of strong feelings from parts
of our group.

So now my question … do we want to stick to Junit 5? Are there any reasons to
do this? I am currently not aware of any killer feature Junit 5 brings, that
TestNG doesn’t provide, but I’m not that deeply involved in the details. Right
now it just feels as it adds unnecessary constraints on the build and the
development environments.

So please leave your comments here.

Chris
