We haven't reached beta stage for Mac OS X yet. We even don't have a public Milestone available. >I use Darwin Ports so all of my dependencies are > installed this way (although I may have to separately install perl > Archive::Zip since it does not appears to be a Darwin Port). Mac OS X 10.3.x itsself comes with perl. I too wanted to use Darwinports perl but that failed so please uses native Perl and native Perl will be able to install Archive::Zip. > > I'm looking at the mid-April build instructions which suggest > SRC680_M90 ... I used m90 as an example. If you read the build instructions carefully you will read that I try to speak of m90 and higher. Second I have not the time to update them everytime a new milestone is out. >but by reading this email thread, I am wondering if it > would be better for me to try something newer like SRC680_M98? Yes, feel free to use any newer Milestones that's available. > Any pointers are very much appreciated and I hope to be able to provide > some useful feedback. Of course. Every issue filed for occuring build problems is welcomed. Slowly we're getting knowledge of more and more OS X builders. Cool. Do most people use Fink instead of Darwin Ports? I'm using Darwinports too but all other supporters and builders seem to use fink, expect Maho he uses pkgsrc from NetBSD. Attention: Read the passage about freetype in my build instructions. You need extra patches since Darwinports freetype2 has a bad version numbering and conflicts with installed freetype that comes from Apple's X11.
