Ignoring the oldest ones, enhances the idea that OOo does not care
about users input.
There are issues dating back to 2002 that haven't been touched.

Without somebody looking at them, and testing them out on several
versions of OOo, there is no way to know if they have been fixed, and
thus be closed, or not.
[And yes, I know that testing out something of different versions of
OOo 2.0.x is a PITA, because it requires one to reinstall OOo between
tests.]

I would suggest to start with the current ones.

This is also an important thing to do.

Perhaps look at the two newest issues, then the oldest issue, working
towards the middle.

And yes it is something for the OOo statistics as well.

For both confirmed, and unconfirmed issues, track age (in days),
number of votes, and number of comments.
