Hi peter,

Hi charles,

I queried about how to programatically access font replacement
table in openoffice writer to change the font before converting word to pdf.

Yes you did! But you hitchhicked a thread with a totally different topic and you asked on the wrong mailing list ;-)

For questions like yours you should subscribe to and ask on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list there you would more likely find someone who can answer your question.

Note: this [email protected] and also [EMAIL PROTECTED] are mailing lists everyone subscribed to the list will get your emails and you will get everyones else if want to start a new topic for discussion send a new mail with a different subject and choose the appropiate mailing list.

Kind regards,
Bernd Eilers

Hi,

this was reported on the release list. I remember, we once had a bundled
(outdated) java runtime that removed a newer one on installation. At
this
time the german team did not approve builds with bundled JRE.

I would consider this as a release stopper (as security riscs might be
introduced). Should we establi9sh this as general rule?

I'm quite sure, I did the tests for 2.4 and at least an already
installed and
more recent JRE was not replaced by the one shipped with OOo. But I'll
test
this again.
André,

I'm sorry I wasn't sufficiently clear: the newer version was not
overwritten or
removed, so the Tools>Options>Java dialog offers both. I would expect most
users
to choose the later version.
