Now I won't have to write them up.

I'm +1 to Wendy's views above.  All of them.  (Yes, I'm on a deadline, too).

Whatever happens to Shale, I hope that Struts project does not mutate
to a simple "Struts == SAF2" equation; I want to be sure that SAF1 is
kept alive as well. I know that to keep it alive someone (like me) has
to make it happen by submitting new code. I am going to, I do work on
it.

In the meantime I want to make sure that SAF1 will not be simply
removed from source repository just because SAF2 is the official
future. I also hope that discussing improvements to SAF1 in dev list
will not be considered mauvais ton.
