+1 to this. This is what we talked about at JavaOne, I thought... We can have 
pre-releases, where it's ok for people to get their feet wet, but if we want 
the big API changes we've talked about, and I think we do, then we can't 
release a stable release before we make those changes. The changes discussed 
are not behind the scenes stuff, they'll affect every app.
