where can I get a working(!) version of the racotf04 font you are using?
I tried the one available at

http://packages.debian.org/unstable/x11/ttf-malayalam-fonts

but it is broken.
The one I have won't work on your machine (due to changes to shaping engine). However, the same problem is apparent even with Anjali Old Lipi which I'm sure you have.

Yes, I have Anjali Old Lipi and the document does not look too bad with that font. However, using this font there are some dotted circles shown in this document, indicating that there might be a problem with the font and/or with the string it tries to render. Therefore I asked for the racotf04 font. Rajeev, I and others already invested quite some time in this issue, and I'm still willing to help. But now you tell me that the font you use does not work on my machine because you made some changes to the shaping engine. Please, add this to the issue description:

- a bugdoc which uses the Anjali font
- a screenshot showing the problems with the Anjali font
- a link to exactly your version of the Anjali font
- any other information we might need

otherwise we cannot help you. Please keep in mind that there is also a QA team that has to confirm the issue and verify the fix, without having the information hidden on this (dev) mailing list.

Regards,

Frank
