+1 am planning to help out with this. Am waiting until Ant has done
what he wants to re. subdirectories.

I think the READMEs can be smaller now. At least for the calculator
based samples. So I suggest we do a launcher one and a contribution
one and have a quick review. For samples that haven't been changed yet
we can just tidy the README up.
