Hi Niklas,

I know. But please consider a typical "noob": He will probably
have look at http://www.openoffice.org and now, please count the
steps until he reaches a point where he could vote for features!

It has to be much more intuitive. There should be a listing of
the most desired features that will be implemented in the next
release ... and - ideally - a "vision corner" where the
sophisticated features could be rated.

Not every user is willing to register before voting ... he just
has a quick look at the web site (RSS?) to be informed about
what is coming next ...

I think we will go for it ... but please always consider the
majority of dumb ... erm ... simply the majority. :-)))

They just want to have a look at a single page, a short concept
and two buttons saying: "I like it" and "Hmmm?" ... I personally
know a lot of "short breathed" users who have ideas and would
like to contribute their opinions but are discouraged by the web
site and its structure ...

Yep, yep, yep ... but it *was* thrilling ... :-))) And this would
really be a big bang to offer such a functionality.

To be honest: I, for example, use OpenOffice.org simply for
everything ... but Excel is *way* ahead of Calc - while Writer is
better than Word (as some magazines already tested).

The list of necessary improvements for Calc in order to simply
compete with Excel is long ... very long ... :-)))

Would it be worth the effort to discuss the "feature voting" with
some of the web guys?

Vince
