Peter Klügl commented on UIMA-2811:
-----------------------------------
We had today a longer discussion about the name in our group with the result of
some strong points/opinions against UIMA-RUCOLA and in favor of UIMA-TRL. The
complete names would be as of now:
UIMA-RUCOLA: RUle-based, COncise Text Annotation LAnguage (the initial
proposals "coding/code/composition/construction/core" do not seem very fitting,
and the concept "text" was addeddue to its importance)
UIMA-TRL: Text Rule Language
The idea would be to start a vote with both names as an option. Is that OK?
However, before that, is UIMA-TRL (Text Rule Language) a suitable name
concerning name clearance? I have not found any trademarks or simmilar stuff,
but there are many registered domains and companies with the name "TRL".
Sorry that I am starting the discussion again...
