Hi all, I had posted here because the discussion on this topic on the UX list had died down. But now we are back at it [1], making further tweaks and improvements. So I would like to put off going live with the refresh until this has been taken care of. It is a little messy to have the discussion spanning 2 lists and having to 'synchronize' progress updates and I apologize for that, but I think the benefits are definitely worth it.
Christian, you have made a very good point; I wanted to use as little space as possible and so did not make room for a submit button. However, as a result of the discussions on the UX list, this is now what we are leaning toward: http://www.patentpending.co.nz/images/openoffice/siteconcept-alt-header.png or, an alternate design based on Christoph's proposal: http://www.patentpending.co.nz/images/openoffice/siteconcept-christoph-nologin.png Comments/suggestions are much appreciated! This solution is much more clean and simple. The "Language Projects" link would take the user to a language selection page (different to the NL projects homepage, which is what the minitabs currently link to). This page does not exist yet, but it would have a list of the available languages in both English and the native language itself (e.g. Espanol / Spanish, Francias / French, etc). The current NL homepage acts as a poor language project selection page, and having another page would be a better solution (more clarity, no reliance on JavaScript). So that is the status update for now. Again, your comments are welcomed!
