Hi all, Language selection from the homepage, or any other page for that matter, is rather difficult. It assumes that people know what "Change Language" means, and even then, only a link is provided. A drop-down menu would be a much better solution to this issue. So ideally, we would need both search and language selection visible by default on the homepage. Would we need the minitabs at all then?
Here is an alternative I (quickly) put together: http://www.patentpending.co.nz/images/openoffice/siteconcept-stacked.png (clicking "Log In" would expand and show the text boxes below). A further improvement would be to use icons as labels instead of text labels. What do you think?
